Hi

I have a DR leaf vacuum 2 years old. My old lawn mower blew an engine. I bought a used Kabota 1900 Diesel. This is where the problem begins. The kabota has 4 wheel turning. When I make a right turn the rear tire eats the cover plate and air cleaner bracket on the vacum motor. So....I have to extend the tongue on the Dr 6". Has anyone done this? Know of where I could buy an extension etc.

Please don't respond by saying ft "Left turns only" Ha Ha. Thats what we are doing and it don't fit the lot were working on. Lots of trees.

Thanks Richard

Looking at the different tow behind models, with a ZT or AWS mower... you might look at adapting yours to the Dual Point Hitch for z-mowers and easier backing up, as seen in this video.. : Overview - DR Leaf & Lawn Vacuum - Tow-Behind - YouTube
It would be easy to fabricate Or you could get the kit... DR® Power Equipment - Dual Point Hitch Kit - Choose the Dual Point Hitch for z-mowers and easier backing up
But that would solve your problem better than an extension on the tongue...

Richard,

I work for DR Power. The video link KennyV listed is for our new style Vac. I believe you have the old style and the dual kit won't work with yours. We do have a Single Point Hitch for use off draw bars that may work for you. I don't have the dimensions on hand right now, but it looks close to 6". I will post the dimensions when I get them.

KennyV,

Thanks for helping with links and such!!
