Of the post-IH singles, which are most durable? Reason I ask, last I bought parts at the Cub store, the parts counter guy old enough to have seen them all had his opinion. Rather than prejudice the poll, what's your favorite? And why?
Part Two - Given annual maintenance, how many hours should a typical single-cylinder Cub Cadet run in mower service? How about the transaxle hours life expectancy? I can tell the mower loads the engine very hard. A plow blade would seem to load the transaxle harder. I've got a parts tractor with 2,000 hours which seems to be in good shape mechanically because it didn't drive a plow or mower.
