new member. thanx for the join. I have a md 31c707 single o/h valve that seems to have excessive crankcase pressure. was way over full mark and I removed oil. turned over with the starter with the dipstick out and blew oil everywhere. removed cyl. head and cranked again. blew oil out the valve gallery about two feet in front of motor. any ideas or help appreciated thanx Doug

Does the oil smell like gas. If so then you have a carb leaking problem. Blowing oil out the dipstick tube, or out the front of the engine doesn't mean anything if it is overfilled, and not running when you remove the dipstick from the tube.

when you remove the dipstick or the head and then crank the engine over, the piston going down will pressurize the crankcase, normally that pressure would go out the breather, but without the dipstick, or the head that is a better avenue for escaping oil.

And if the oil is diluted with petrol, run the engine for about 15 minutes then change the oil a second time
