Hi folks.. My pressure washer has no pressure. It sat for a long while.. Outside .. Fires right up (Honda engine), but I don't see any difference in water pressure whether the engine is running or not. Note that to test it I'm just letting water shoot out the outlet without a hose/gun attached.

I read that it could be a stuck unloader valve, so I took that off and noticed the little metal end / nipple of sorts doesn't move (don't know if it should).. Looks like it should be able to move up and down. It's stuck "up" or "out". Took it apart (not sure i should have) and saw the spring inside was very rusted. I just realized now: Is that spring supposed to hold the nipple "in" or push it out? If its supposed to hold it in, I broke it I guess internally (broke the spring off the nipple) when I disassembled the valve. Anyway I greased it up and got the nipple moving up and down a bit, but when I reassemble the unloader valve the nipple is stuck open again, and I still have no pressure. Should I just order a new unloader valve?

Thanks!
Pete

If it is broke, you will need it before you get the pump making pressure...
You should be able to look at the new part and determine if yours is still good... Tractor Supply, Atwoods, and places like that have the parts...
