Hi

Just fitted a new wiring loom on my ride on mower as the old one was butchered and dangerous by the previous owner.

I have 3 wires left were im not sure were they go. according to the mower manual wiring diagram they go to the right front spade terminal on the solenoid but the cable have a spade terminal with a ring hole in it.

Also I have to diagrams which contradict each other ive attached them to this msg.

Cheers guys

They are all earth (-) wires
Looks like they will all join at a mounting bolt for the starter solenoid.
There was probably a spade terminal with a ring on the other end that went under the same bolt.
They are available form most electric copmonant store ( Tesco ? ).

Is the solenoid a 3 pole or 4 pole ?
Hook them up and see if you get a spark and that the solenoid energises.

It's a 4 pole solenoid. I tried it on the empty spade terminal on the solenoid it fired up but then I couldn't turn off the engine via the key ignition. Got off the seat which has a new kill switch still ran. Had to pull the spark plug cap in the end.????

In that case they go to earth via the mounting bolt of the solenoid.

Thanks for your help tried your suggestion now when I turn the key I get a click sound. If I turn the blade switch to on and turn key can hear the magnetic clutch moving. If I get of seat or handbrake is off get nothing so safety switches are working to. Added another pic if it helps...strange one this

As depicted in the first diagram, one of the black wires originates from item 104 and the other from item KA1? Is it still configured that way? Do you have a key/legend that indicates which component is which, for example KA1. 104, etc? Is #25 the blue wire or an item to where the blue wire goes? Whatever #104 is, make sure that ground wire has a very good ground on each end. Which item is the starter?

Are one of the models listed in this manual your model? http://www.mowerspareparts.co.uk/v/Etesia owners manual/Etesia Bahia 2 Owners manual.pdf

If so, which? If not, can you provide the model #?

I guess you want to restore the wiring back to factory specs. If not, it's very simple to construct a basic starting circuit. Of course I suggest this only if you choose to use the mower to perform tasks other than mowing.

Hi

It's the baiha mbhe model not the baiha 2 mate.

Yeah I'm trying to get it back to standers.

Now that you have posted the wiring legend, I go back to the original reply.
They are all earth wires.
21 - 22-23 & 29a all bolt onto the engine at one end.
29a (one end) - 21 and 25 all go to the starter solenoid earth terminal.
heck the ignition switch for continuity between the G ( ground ) terminal and the M ( magneto ) terminal.
These two close together to stop the engine by earthing out the other side of the ignition coils.

Hi

Well go the tester out and checked between the G and M terminal beeped on first key point then nothing on start and run so that's all ok.

Wired it as you suggested still nothing. Tested all the switches separately and all work fine so still a bit confused as to what's going on ??.

I Found an old picture of the mower when I first got it of the wires on the solenoid and there different to how they are now.

Here's it today after moving some wires

IF the grey wire on the solenoid goes + 12V when the key is in the start position then the other terminal needs to be negative or the starter solenoid can not work.
As to stopping
Where does the green wire on the control plate go to ?
Normally that would be a cut out wire for engines that have a pull start and the green wire will go to the cut out wire on the ignition coil.
Check that it closes to earth when the throttle closed down.
Normally you would not run a throttle stop and key stop on the same engine.

Green wire goes to the blade switch it's joined with a brown on spade

Going to have another go tommorow will try the 29a 21 25 on the solinoies front left terminal and see if it starts up
