Engine won't crank - Stuck on compression?

Agree with the compression relief. I had same issue, thought starter, battery etc. After replacing starter, took engine out and found broken device on cam shaft that relieves pressure by keeping valve open a bit longer till centrifugal force moves the device. Not a hard job to do, tedious at best. I found instructions on you tube.

I have heard where people will send a small diameter magnet down the oil fill tube to see if they come up with metal pieces or shreds to possibly determine if ACR flew apart. I just did that job for the first time and it was kinda enjoyable as I didn't need the machine right away. Just over $125 in OEM parts.
