This is the best laid out specification pages for B & S
Look up your old engine and compare the dimensions with the new engine then go measure your mower.
V twins are longer than singles if the air filter is between the cylinders
V twins are wider than singles so it might foul on the hood
heights are almost the same
And you will need to buy new control cables

I cant find anything online about the specs of the mounting holes. What control cables do I need to change? Will the original throttle cable work? Its just an offroad mower

There is a drawing of each engine under the description & photo complete with engineering drawing.

I don't see the distance from one mounting hole to the other in the diagrams. They just show how tall they are and what the distance is from the center to either side. I just need to know if the mounting holes are going to line up.
