Engine runs for 10 minutes and dies

I have a Enduro 17.5hp Tecumseh. I've replaced the carb, fuel lines ,coil, fuel filter, and spark plugs. It runs amazing for about 10 minutes then dies. It also won't charge my battery. I don't know what else to try. It isn't vapor locked either. Any suggestions?

If it's an Over head valve engine, I would check your valve clearance...
Post the model numbers, should be stamped near the spark plug or on the valve cover

I did take the cover off the valves and one rocker was loose and it does start smoking a little before it dies

Okay. Was the other rocker pushing the valve down? It's okay for them to have a little play... Usually between 4 and 8 thousandths of an inch.
I'll look up the model number and see if I can find the specification.

Valve clearance appears to be .004" intake and exhaust .
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

.004” on each valve is correct.

First principles
Diagnose then fix
So get an inline spark tester with a red globe
Hook it up & start the engine.
If it stops flashing or flashes very irregularly before the engine starts to die you have an electricalproblem

If it flashes after the engine has started to die then you have a fuel problem
