engine replacement

Hi all!
I picked up an old Montgomery Ward tiller for very small $. It did fire up but this baby has been abused. Wrong muffler, carb is missing most of it's linkage parts, springs etc. I'm thinking a new engine saves time and potentially saves money. I've looked up a carburetor and the necessary missing parts, (some not available ), and it gets pricy. What is the recommended engine replacement for a B&G 130202-0135?

The replacement engine was an 8 HP OHV engine, it is NLA, but any engine (Briggs that has a 3/4" diameter x 2" 27/64" length should bolt right up.

The Predator 212 is a perfect replacement and are readily available.
