I have 2 Exmarks...one has an engine blown, the other has the LH hyrdo tranny out. Looking to move the engine on the one with the bad LH hydro to the other with the good hydros. Is it doable?

Here are the facts:
Bad engine is Kohler Command PRO 999 (serial 4203001141) - this mower is a 72", 2012 Exmark Lazer Z X-series
Good engine (bad LH hydro) is Kawasaki 34 HP (code FX921V-AS04-R) - this mower is a 60", 2009 Exmark Lazer Z series.

OR...would it make more sense to perhaps take the good LH hydro off the 2012 and install on the 2009?

Thanks!

Putting the engine from the 60" deck into a 72" deck will leave the mower a little underpowered.
Weather this a problem or not is down to you, your grass & how you use it
Swapping over 1 tranny will only work if the trannys are the same
Otherwise swap both

Great info. So my big question (perhaps it's for Exmark) is: Are part numbers 135-7905 and 135-7907 interchangeable? Can I use the 135-7907's to replace my 135-7905 trannys?
