2002 Dixie chopper with gxv670 Honda engine. In a hurry last summer I jump started the mower with the leads reversed. Since then the mower has a short somewhere that cause it to blow fuses. I think the problem is in the coil area as I can disconnect them and the fuse blowing stops though obviously it won’t run. I have tried multiple known good coils with no luck and I think it is destroying the coils I attached. I disconnected the charging leads on the engine and no change. I think this is the only year with a Honda engine. I would.buy a new engine as this one has several hours on it but I’m afraid the short in the wiring may destroy it. Thx for any suggestions

Model number is xw2400 Quad Loop

We need the model number. As you see there is several series of Dixie Chopper. First must find the series and then look for the correct diagrams.

If you have good know coils leave the kill wires off the coils and see if it starts. If it starts you can turn the engine off with the switch since when you turn the key off it will deactivate the fuel shut off selonoid and kill the engine. You can then test the switch to see if it is bad and the wiring harness to see if it is bad.
