Electric Zero Turn

I am wondering about proper electric motor sizing and battery bank sizing for converting a 24HP zero turn into an electric ZTR?
I am thinking a motor to drive the hydraulic pump plus a seperate motor for driving the blades.
How about salvaging parts? Old golf carts? Electric scooters? Ag equipment?
Any thoughts?

I have had a couple electric rider mowers... They were John Deere Electric 90's. Still have them but have not used in several years. Each blade on the deck has it's own electric motor 36volt. And a separate electric motor that drove the 3 speed plus reverse transmission, same set up as the gas powered mowers.
These used 3 deep cycle 12 volt batteries in series. Worked very good and nice mowers.
I do NOT think you could get a ZTR to work with battery powered hydro pump... Much too big of a load. KennyV

There is however at least one Electric ZTR mower out there. NOT hydro driven...

I would suspect this arrangement would be practical ... KennyV

I've always been very skeptical of electric mowers for some reason. I've always heard bad things about them, like they won't last as long as a fuel powered mower. I'd like to learn more about them though.
