I just joined a few minutes ago but am questioning my own judgement here, because there is no apparent interest in the brand of garden tractors I own and operate. Perhaps I will find out later that there actually is an interest, but I have not yet found an option to view or discuss brands which are not listed.

Interest has to do with what brands are sold nationally. (and what brands need repairs)
Those are purchased by more buyers.

Yours may be the best mower...but I have never heard of it.

You could tell us about it. Is it a Push mower? a tractor? a Zero turn?

I would say your attitude in your post comes off somewhat as a personal attack on members here for not discussing your mower.

I would think your mower has a brand of engine that we discuss
It has safety's and PTO and belts and blades...

We discuss all the parts and pieces that make up your mower.

shiftsuper175607, I did not intend to give the impression that I was personally attacking all the touchy feely people out there in safe zone land. Some of your commentary, however, revealed to me that I am living during a time period where people could answer some of their own questions simply by reading what was stated. You referred to my "mower" for example. No where in my post did I refer to my equipment as a "mower". I intimated that I own and operate "garden tractors".

So far as coming across as attacking...….I'm going to state my mind......without filters...….without profanity...….and if the me generation and the millennials and gen Xers don't like it......they need to lighten up...…...Jesus called professional members of the synagogue "white washed sepulchers"...…...are you offended by that?

I am former military, airborne engineer, navigation, recon, and weapons specialist, was born and raised on a dairy farm in N. central Ohio, carried to church from infancy, know what it's like to actually work for a living, and pardon me if, like Dave Roever, I am chasing a truck. I am not in touch with my feminine side, nor am I naïve.

I enjoy Power King Economy tractors because of their looks, their nostalgia, and the fact that I am biased toward them from my childhood. They came into existence during the 1940's and survived by the skin of their teeth until the mid 90's because of all the buy-outs and competition with the Japs and the Chi-coms. At the last, there was a merge with Snapper and then, the Power King tractor became a memory. They went thru Kohlers and Wisconsins, Briggs, and I've even seen some creative machinists re-power them with the Chi-com Predator 22 h.p. at Harbor Freight. Some had 3 speed Borg Warner T-92's, some had 2 of those coupled together for twice the gearing, some had hydro-drive, full hydraulics, power steering, 3 point cat 0 hitches, dual wheels, snow plows, rear tillers, belly mowers, FEL's and the list goes on and on.

Jasper,
:welcome:
Not quite sure what you want or expected
Predominantly this forum is a fix it site and the bulk of people come here with a problem they can not understand.
There are sub forums for popular brands to make the thing easier to navigate through.
I have Rovers, rovers are still being sold ( although MTD owns them now ), but there is no Rover forum and in the 4 years I have been here there has been 1 & only 1 post about Rovers.
There are forums, like vintage mowers that devote themselves to the history of old brands & the preservation & resurection of long deceased mower brands.

If no one asks a question about a particular mower or mower brand then there will be no discussion about them and thus no interest.

I am on a lot of power tool forums, I came here to learn about mowers , to access service information and to that extent this forum has been a god send.
Some other forums where I have posted problems have been very friendly and my first post got dozens of replies, all Howdy doodys full of platitudes and no information.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm gong to move this thread over to our general garden tractors section where we tend to discuss garden tractors that haven't made it to the primary lists.
