I know many of us have already heard about these eco-friendly lawnmowers available in local stores and online stores like amazon. Some are solar powered, others are battery operated and more.

I just want to know, are these sturdy enough for heavy use?

They are just a waste of time and money........get yourself a 2 stroke rotary mower at least 10 years old as they will last forever.........nearly.:licking:

Depends what you think of as heavy use...
All mowers have a limit to it's capacity to chop things up... and how many hours you are going to be beating it per week... Some mowers are going to be good for hundreds of hours ... some for thousands of hours...

If you are really interested in eco-friendly lawnmowers, look into it a bit... are they prevalent in Manila?
Are they comparable in price to a conventional mower there?

Two cycle is a hardy engine and will last a long time if someone has not ran it without theproper oil fuel mix... BUT 2 cycle dose not come to mind when your talking about eco-friendly...

BTW I see this is your first post ... WELCOME to a fun & informative, world wide mower forum... :smile:KennyV

I still think a lot has to be done to make these eco-friendly mowers available as the heavy user level. The green revolution is normally bigger than we can imagine.

l believe in going for the electric mower.

Another green friendly member, welcome to a great forum... Where are you located?

The distribution of electric machines and other 'cleaner' mowers will ease into the market as the costs for them goes down and the cost of cleaning up small internal combustion engines goes up...
Will take years but I think it's bound to be coming... :smile:KennyV

Thanks for the warm welcome Kenny... I surely will enjoy in this forum and will learn lots about Lawn Mower from its members.

People in Manila are now starting to have a green lifestyle but eco-friendly lawnmowers are not yet common in here.
