First-timer:
I too have an Echo SRM 225 trimmer (purchased in 2013). It wouldn't start, purchased after market carburetor, ran great that day, one week later it won't stay on. It starts and immediately shuts off. Checked arrestor screen, no screen, cleaned it anyways. I started it without arrestor, it started ran for about 30 seconds, died out and it won't start at all now. I switched the new carb for the original echo carb, but with new bulb, still won't start. Is it time for a newer model? different brand?
