Hi,
Was not able to get this Saw tuned up so wanted to check for pressure/vacuum.

Pressure held great but vacuum. I would pump down to 15 then guage would rise to 10 and hold?

Wondering if this normal or what others have found doing vacuum tests???

15 maybe pulling the crankshaft seals away from the crankshaft causing a vacuum leak until the vacuum gets low enough to reseal. The vacuum testing on Makita was never exceed 7

Hi,
Thanks, I was told at least 15 inches on Vacuum and 7 PSI on Pressure???

Admittedly your theory sounds very good!!!

Thanks again!

I'm now going to look for a Carb problem, tested fuel line and it's good!

Hi,
Well, got this Saw running and tuned.

Bought a Chinese Carb, which I have actually had good luck with on different machines.

Could not get this one to work correctly, so looked for a used OEM and found one.

Put a rebuild kit in, and just to be sure, new fuel line and filter.

Saw now runs great, and seems to be a nice Saw!
