I volunteered to fix a friends 1986 Ferris 3 wheeler, model no. B14G, and after getting it running lost control on a hill breaking a drive shaft and the gear box housing.?? Is it possible to find either a whole new gearbox or the housing and driveshaft parts? Everything else on it is in good condition and I am just sick over it.

You can find both. But you are talking about 2 of the most expensive parts on the mower. $350 to $550 for the gear box and $300 for the drive shaft. If you find that ok then i will try to find what you need after you post the numbers off the gear box. Go to a drive line shop to get the drive shaft repaired of replaced.

And the gearbox is a casting .
Welding is a casting process
So broken gearboxes get welded back together.
Would have to be cheaper than replacing.
As for drive shafts , we go to tractor shops and buy splinded shaft.
Most of them are fairly standard sizes.
