Was mowing everything was just fine then mower just died no power to nothing . Popped the hood and it had a blown 20 amp fuse the only one under the dash. Changed the fuse and tried starting and wont turn over. Heard a click from the starter and noticed every time i tried to start it the starter would click and volt gauge would peg all the way negative. Any suggestions thinking maybe starter ?

Check battery voltage and report back what it is.

If it was running and just quit on you it's not the starter. Post model number from under seat.

Most auto parts stores will test a starter for free. Go have it tested.

that sounds like you developed a serious short to see if comes from the starter disconnect the battery and connect terminal of a jumper cables direct to the starter terminals ?
