I agree 100% and thought I had. Lowes had special order it because I didn't want just a generic brand but wanted OEM if possible. They sent me a Stens 265-577 OE replacement belt. I just think they sent the wrong one.
I finally got the correct belt (I think). I installed it and unfortunately I put the belt below the front wheel cross member and wore some of it before realizing my mistake. Corrected the path and it seemed to work for a while. Now the clutch won't engage and as soon as you start it, it begins to drive with no brakes or shifting. Is there a spring or something else that might need to be changed out? Have I ruined the belt and that's causing the issue?
