The drive belt on my 2025 Rogue broke after only 7 hours. you can see a pattern of nicks around the belt in the pictures. I don't feel any burrs on the pulleys, any ideas what might cause this?

I suspect a belt tension guide was not installed at the correct angle when assembled. There are many that require a tab of the guide fit in an exact location. Regardless, this is a warranty repair issue being this new.

Be advised that pickup and delivery may not be covered by the selling dealer, so you may have figure out how to get it to them.

I'm taking the belt back to the dealer tonight so they can see it isn't a defect in the belt. Thank you for your feedback.

Has a drive belt travels from pulley to pulley there is a certain amount of deflection created, some people call it "flopping back and forth". If a guide is not in the correct position, the belt will slap into its edges (the guide), which is what this damage looks like to me.

It ran for 7 hours, so there may be a part coming loose. The cuts in the back of the belt are almost perfectly spaced.

I noticed there is a tab by the pully on the right pump that was clean like the belt had been hitting it so that may be the culprit. I believe the tab was welded on though so i wouldn't be able to adjust it.
