Does anybody have a 460 Kawasaki, can you send me a picture of your wiring?

My PTO went out, so I went and tracked it down. Seems the wiring harness is coming apart. Is this what the factory wiring looks like? Exposed like this?

Honestly this looks like a pretty sloppy splice/repair job to me. I'd love if someone could send me a picture of the same mower with the Fx1000 so I can compare.

Thank you!

Post the model and serial numbers for the unit, as the wiring harness will be addressed as part of the unit, not engine.

Looks like it's in the parts manual here on page 29: https://apache.ariens.com/manuals/05298000.pdf

I'd love a picture of somebody else's, the wiring diagram could help get me going but I just paid $14k for a new mower. If it came with non-factory wiring I'm going to have to have some conversations with some people.

That looks like factory wiring to me. I’m thinking that the purple wires were not properly installed into the connector.

I would be having a conversation with the dealer right now and do it by email so there is a written copy .
manufacturing accidents do happen but should have been picked up by the dealer in the pre delivery
I concur with Rivets, looks like the purple wire slipped out of the crimper .

That whole connector looks off to me. I can see the weatherproofed ones that look legit, but all the electrical tape and non-weatherproofed stuff looks like a hack job to me.

I'm not in a part of the country that knows how to use email, sadly. I went in to the dealer today and they're going to pick it up tomorrow and take it in.

Went digging through Youtube reviews and found a couple images, looks like it is factory wiring.

You’ll find that wiring setup on 95% of units under $15,000. Good dealer should be able to do that repair under 30 minutes.
