Does a B&S engine only have a valve stem seal on the intakes valve?

I bought a gasket kit for a B&S 22 hp engine I need to overhaul. There are only two valve stem seals in the kit. I looked online and all I could find says there are only valve stem seals on the intake valves. Just checking if that's true?

I have the heads removed and mostly cleaned up. I noticed what looks like cracks and/or casting lines in the valve area of the head. I tried to upload a pict, but I don't have a photo editor on my laptop.

Yes.
the inlet sucks so needs seals to stop oil being sucked into the cylinder
The exhaust blows so it dies not need a seal

Dies? Sorta a doctor having the diagnosis

But exhaust valve and guide are pressurize and intake and its guide are usually under vacuum. Briggs normally don't have seals on the exhaust but engines like Kawasaki do.

Also old L-head single do have problems with extra oil being push up worn valve guides. In those cases the solution is usually to replace the worn valve and guide. I have repair several 3.5 hp L-heads that customers thought the rings where gone when it was only the exhaust guide that had failed.
