Hello, new here to this forum. Seems like a friendly bunch of folks. I just acquired a Dixon 3303 with the cone drive system. Although it seems to work ok, I am interested in making any adjustments that may make it operate even better. Is there a service manual that I can get my hands on in a pdf format that anyone might know about? Also, when/how would I determine the amount of acceptable wear on the cones/discups? It seems that there might be a little slipping or inconsistency with the drive wheels but fairly intermittent. I am new to the ZTR world so not completely familiar with the 'feel' of how they operate. Am fairly technical so a service manual would be golden for me! Thanks for any help!

I joined the forum after finding this thread. You're being very generous in offering the information on adjusting the drive on the Dixon. I too would like to get a copy of the information for adjusting the drive. Would you please send a copy at your connivance? PM sent.

When I got mine, everything was out of adjustment. I've got it fairly close, but I think it can be better. So far, I've tightened up the ball links, taken a lot of play out of the back adjustment screws. The right one had the most. I've used hydrostatic ZTRs before, but this is my first experience with a mechanical drive one.

Regards,

Dan
