Received and replaced the breather valve assembly and gasket. The new breather valve is just like the original one with only one reed plate. There were some pics on line that led me to think the new one would have two reed plates. It does not.
When I removed the original valve, the 4 bolts were not very tight and I actually believe the new gasket was the actual fix. I can see that causing a loss of signal to the gas pump more so than the valve. Anyway, it's now runs good. Fixed.
