Need to know engine's Make, Model, and Spec number at least. The link indicates a Kolher Single Courage engine which most use a half wave voltage regulator but need to be sure.

Remove battery for load test at Auto Parts Store. Let us know how it goes, thanks Mark
I sure will. I just was tinkering with it and I do cut some of our yard but due to health issues we have a couple that does the major parts. I had a AutoMeter Trickle charger on it all round but for some reason it was not even making good contact. I am gonna also get some info on it as well about the engine and maybe it will get me also in the right direction if it comes to that.

Awesome Thank yall so so so very much . I sure hate to bother folks but Im kinda on the low scale income and it means a great deal to me for the guide here. I do believe also I might had killed the duralast battery to. I bought this thing used and didnt know a thing about the Kohler Courage till late. I had to update a better valve cover,New carb, new top end gasket( Cant remember the name) and just been trying to keep it going with new belts and pulleys and blades on regular maintenance . I think I found out why the guy wanted only 200 for it.

If your battery is flat (below 12 volts), then most battery chargers will not recognize they are hooked up and begin charging.

Yes modern battery chargers with electronic controls are a problem. I have one here that will charge a 12v battery if it is below 7v instead it wants to charge them as a 6v battery. I seldom use it any more opting to use my 1970 battery charger instead. And sometime I just the 12v solar panel to recovered severely discharged batteries.
