Did you reset the ignition timing after you replaced the points and condenser? If not that could be your problem. This is a common mistake by those who have not worked on Tecumseh engines. Probably the most difficult to set, as you need a dial indicator to do it right.
I found this same answer elsewhere, and I didn't set the timing. I actually found a video on youtube from the '80s that Tecumseh made describing how to properly time it. I figured out a trick to do it without the dial indicator. I removed the head, and measured the distance btdc with my caliper. That did the trick. Thanks for your help.
