I've got a second hand Howard Price 360Z Zero turn mower and am in need of a new Deck Spindle Belt. The Howard Price # is 20-321. The broken belts measures 5/8" wide and at least 141" long. I've seen belts for other mowers listed as 141.5", 142" or 142.5". I'm not sure which one would fit my mower. I've looking for a Kevlar High Performance belt in either Oregon, Gates or any other brand.

Correction. The Howard Price # is 20-014. 60" deck

To speed things up if there are no HP owners, what spindle belt does your zero turn take?

I'm looking for a cross reference to a 60" deck using a 5/8" belt that is 141 - 142.5" long.

If your mower uses a belt such as that, please list the Manufacturer, part number and belt length.

Just an update:

I've checked all the places suggested here as well as others and nobody has dimensions/cross ref # for that belt. So I'll be making the trip and picking one up for $58 plus Tax. I wish I knew the length so I could pick one up from Vbelt for $40 shipped. Oh well.

KEvlar belts do not stretch, they wear thin so run deeper in the V and get slack.
SO if you have all of the belt just measure it and then round down to the whole inch size.

Belt lengths like 140.0675" are the direct consequences of kids being given calculators at school then growing up to use computers.
Now days the EXACT number is deemed to be more important than actually knowing or even understanding what you are calculating.
So the designers at **** Mowers inc download an app from Gates, drop in the blade loads, pulley sizes and centres then it spits out a belt length to 6 decimal places.
So you get a belt length of 225.125" for $ 150 when either a std 224" or 226" would be fine at $ 40 a piece.
I came across a belt that was over 200" long with an extra 5/64". as if 5/64" would make a knatts knackers difference over 200"

Some times , with manual slipping clutches or vari drives a 1/4" over short belts can make a difference but on decks with electric clutches it is a joke.

Thanks, I understand what you are saying, but the broken ends do not mate; the ends are shredded. I do not know if another piece broke off the belt
And yes, I would go to the nearest inch.

Go and get some 5/8 diameter rope & use that to measure the belt run.
Take the tension spring off so the tension pulley is not pulling tight.
Measure it at this pulley, mark the rope pulley not touching and pulley at full travel then pick a length about 1/2 way between them.

I have a broken belt on the same H.P. zero turn mower. Did you figure out what belt to buy? I can’t figure out the serpentine pattern for the belt. Would you be able to send a picture of the belt route on your mower. Parts and diagrams are nearly impossible to find on these old beasts. My mower is the 360z as well. Greatly appreciate your help. I need to get this mower up and running ASAP. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME WITH THE BELT DIAGRAM, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

I face this problem almost daily even worse because down here it would have been sold as a Super Roo or Emu Runner or some local name, hence the measure with rope trick mentioned to the previous poster.
If you have the old belt and the ends sit properly into each other, so you can be confident that a 2" length or so did not fall off then just measure the belt end to end and then round down to the nearest inch.
When you get a deck belt over 100" long an inch either way means absolutely nothing.
kevlar fiber belts do not stretch much , they wear thin on the coontact sides so sit deeper in the pulley , so become loose which is misinterpereted as having stretched .
The reason why you get lengths like 142 21/64" is because we are living in the the computer age where it is all about an exact number and not about understanding what you are doing .
Every belt maker has free desktop app so the "design engineer " can drop in the position of the pulleys, engine Hp & loads and the app spews out a number .
So when a commercial customer rings desperately requiring a belt in the middle of a 10 acre mow, I go through my stock and come fit the right belt if I have it or the nearest under size if not .
Never had a problem and in quite a few cases they ask for the same belt to be fitted next time , particularly if it was a cheaper belt .
Usually just so long as you use the same end use belt so don't put a transmission belt on a deck all will be fine.
The caveat on that is if your deck has a heavily serpentine belt run with small flat idler pulleys.
When this is the case, the fevlar fibres are in a different place and a different size ( Thinner & closer to the middle ).
Can't help you with the belt run but if you pull the deck out and photograph it from above some with a lot more experience than me will be able to sort it out for you.
There is just so many ways you can run a belt so that all of the pulleys will have sifficient contact & not slip.
