With my retired mechanic neighbors help we managed to get the belt installed. He fashioned a wire to pull the tension pully forward to get enough slack to get belt installed. just cut my back yard mower cuts great and deck is quieter than it has been for a good while. Thanks to my good neighbor

A ratchet strap works really well to pull the tension idler back to install the belt.

As least they are not like one of my customers that get out the caliper to check the grass height.

Every grass has different cutting height. Some like it high, some like it short. Now during mowing the cutting height need to be raised high as the dry season comes into play.
