This winter I purchased for a well cared for Super Bronco with a bad Kohler motor and I replaced the bad Kohler with a good one from an old plain Bronco. I purchased a new deck belt and the darn thing keeps coming off the engine pulley. I think my problem is that the engine pulley guard seems to be too small to straddle the sides of the pulley and is pushed backward at a 45 degree angle to make it fit. In the process of switching motors did I screw up. Let me know. Jack

All ideas will be appreciated. Jack

Hello Trout bum,

The belt guides for the crank pulley need to be close to the outside of the pulley to prevent the belt from jumping off. Was the crank pulley swapped over from the old engine to the replacement engine?

Thank you for the comment. To answer simply I do not remember. I will go through the parts diagrams for both motors and see if there is a difference. Jack
