Debris-Hauling Job

I have been getting a lot of random jobs lately utilizing my trailer. This weekend a customer cut down this HUGE bush, and asked me to take it to the local farm. It took 4 trips! Of course looking back I could have cut up the branches more and saved a trip, but I didn't. I am getting to really appreciate that a local farm accepts your debris. It has come in handy many times. Here is a picture of one of the 4 trailer loads I took there.

You should look into getting a chipper/shredder and turning it into compost to sell or even sell the chips for peoples flower gardens

so a good one is like 5-600 bucks but it would pay for its self in the long run because it would have all fit on the trailer in one load and you can also make money with it in the future. so it is a win win

Ya the place I take it to (the farm) makes mulch out of it, which they sell for money, and they also charge for people to dump their debris there, so the farmer is making money two ways. Yes of course he has to make it into mulch himself, which takes time, but he makes off pretty well. I'm OK with paying to dump there because it is convenient (and I just add the price into the bill for the customer), but it would be nice if it was free or something.

you could find a used unit it would cut the price in half and that would make it better to make back your money?

What ever it take the less gas money you spend the more money in your pocket.

Actually I ended up not losing out because I charged the customer for each load I took. I made sure to pack it down as best I could as to not overcharge, but I also didn't want to be there all day chopping the sticks into little tiny pieces.

That's quite a journey! That's the good thing of not cutting them down, you should have enjoyed the trailer so much. :)
