dead battery

i have a craftsman gt3000 .i have cleaned all connections,checked fuse.i bought a new battery but it doesnt charge or is drained and still needs a jump.now when i try to start it the starter justs spins.and doesnt turn the motor over.what now.

Yes you need a workshop manual to read...!

I am not sure what you are trying to say, is it that the battery is not charging, if so have the battery tested to see if its will hold a charge.
Are you saying that the charging system is not charging the battery.
Solenoid's don't spin, they job is to pass over higher current from a low current supply ie from the key switch, and then the high current to a starter. starter maybe spinning but may not be engaging the flywheel ring gear.

Check to see if you good battery 100%.
Check to see if the solenoid is working proper.
Check out the starter.
Check to see if charging system is doing its job.
