Dang Bronco won't mow!

I would really appreciate some input. I have a Bronco model 13AV60KG211 riding mower. The blades will not stay engaged when I raise the actuator. What should I look for?

I would start by checking the belt condition, and is it tight with the mower in the engaged position.

ILENGINE, thank you so much for your help! I had glanced at the belt, but upon re-examining it, I found that it was not correctly positioned around one of the pulleys. I'm riding high again! Thanks!!
