I will have to check but I am fairly sure mine isn't starting from cold or hot without your little add fuel trickI had a John Deere that wouldn't start cold but started fine otherwise .
The solution after so much aggravation i drilled a 1/8" hole in the rubber hose between the air filter and carburetor , as close to the carb as possible , to squirt a eye dropper of gasoline in . Seal the hole with a pan head sheet metal screw after it starts .
