Hello; a reviewer for a JD lawn tractor that I'm interested in buying complained about its poor performance picking up leaves. Says they blow out from under the tractor to the front and sides. Could I switch to 'high lift' blades for this chore and expect different result's? Thanks in advance.

Was this with a bagger or mulcher, or just discharge. Maybe lower the deck a bit more? High lift blades would make a difference I'd think, no real experience though.

High lift blades always help direct the flow of debris through the discharge chute of your mower, but unless you put the mulch attachment on the specific mower, you’ll just have to put up the leaves and other debris leaking out the sides of the deck. And, even with that, you’ll still get some leakage.

And it will depend upon how high you have the deck set

For some reason beyond my pay grade a lot seen to do a better job on leaves on the mid height settings.
You would expect them to do a cleaner job on the bottom but that is not the case.

The reviewer didn't mention but I would be using the bagger.
