cub ltx 1050 cuts out when tank half full

Gents:

Got a LTX 1050 (2012) that cuts out when the tank is half full. Fill the tank and all is well until tank gets low again.

ANy thoughts??

bad fuel pump
hole in the fuel pick up tube ( if it comes out the top of tank )
Floating debris blocking off the fuel outlet , for bottom outlet tanks .
