Cub LTX 1040 is stuck in reverse

My Cub is stuck in reverse what can I do?

Are you on a hill?
Does the forward - reverse lever move or can you not move it?

I changed the drive belt and its fine. the shifter is ok it will move in fwd. and rev. the rod going into the transmission is ok also, it is setting in my garage.

Found out the fork that moves the gears into position on the tranmission was worn out and sliped over the reverse gear leving it in reverse. Had to replace the fork about $100 . He said its rare. :smile:

Do you know the name of this part i seem to be having the same problem any help would be great thanks

It is the shifting fork its what slides the gears into place mine sliped over the rev .gear and could not get back over it . The fork some how inlarged it self . Hope this helps.:smile:
