Looking for help on how to reset the oil change counter on a Cub Cadet LTX1040 mower after an oil change.

Thank you for the information because I have tried everything else I can find to no avail. Wasn't sure if it was safe to run it like this.

Tried what you suggested but it did not help for this circumstance.

Looking for help on how to reset the oil change counter on a Cub Cadet LTX1040 mower after an oil change.

Another method to try is to disconnect both battery cables and clamp the ends together with a pair of vice grips for an hour. This will discharge slow discharge capacitors that are often used with electronic systems.

After that reconnect the battery cables and see if it has reset the oil change monitor.
