Having a devil of a time replacing my deck after replacing PTO belt.
Use to e able to do it but I have a mental block
Every where I look it is different. Need pictures of my deck to show how it should look when putting it together.
Have a CubCadet LTX 1050KW 2011.

My wife want me to hire someone to do the lawn. NO WAY.

If my wife said that, I'd be ecstatic.

Slip some long 2x4's under the mower then slide the deck along them .
lower the lift arms down
They should go in the U shaped brackets
pull the spring loaded pin back and then engage it in the hole in the lift pin
One side has a slot the lift arm runs in & the other side just goes loose inside the U
The fit the front draw bar in & fit the clip in the hole.
Raise the deck fully and slide out the 2x4's

Your directions are great for my mower. My problem is, I can't attach the belt. If I do it first, I can't pull the deck back to hook the j hooks. When I hook up the deck first, I can't remount the belt to the mower. Any other ideas?

I have a lot of aged widows in my repair run and for them I modify the tension arm
Either I weld a bolt on it so they can put a long spannar on the arm to stretch the spring far enough to get enough slack to replace the belt.
Cut height set at 1/2 way has the pulleys level so you need the least amount of stretch.

If the bolt that holds the tensioning pulley on is long enough you can put a jamb nut on it and slip a long wrench on that to get enough leverage to stretch the spring.

Other than that you can hook a ratchet tie down on the tension arm nd use that to stretch the spring enough to slip the belt back on.
