I have a cub cadet hd gt2542 with kolher motor when started run and idles good but as soon as you open to full power and or put under load the butterfly on the carb flutters and then the motor starts to backfire and wants to cut out. Have been through the whole fuel system and carb. put new fuel line, took carb apart and clean the needle valve and carb, put on new fuel pump and just has me in a dumbfounded state. have taken it to a couple of small engine repair shops but has come back in worse shape than when I took it there! at the end of my rope please help!!!:tongue:
This is general information because you have not given us the engine number.
Next there might be a language problem.
Fluttering v ossilation.
Fluttering, very rapid very small opening and closing of the throttle will be due either to the damping spring not working or a failure of the governor .
Cheapest, but least common problem is the spring, that is the long one that envelopes the throttle link rod and seems to do nothing.
As for governor problem. I could fill the server with all the things that can & do go wrong with the govenot itself or the bushes it runs in or the hole it poke through the crankcase etc etc etc and apparently my posts are boring
