Cub Cadet Drive System Fluid Plus alternatives???

Bought my Cub 5252 with 223 hrs. on it and it's doubtful the hydraulic trans fluid has been changed. Looking for an alternative fluid since Cub Cadet's fluid is apparently made from Unicorn piss. Even the UDT2 fluid for my Kubota is half the price. Suggestions???
 
The 737-3121 (1 Gal) is a 15w40 Synthetic oil. You should be able to use Tuff Torq's (187Q0899000 3 liter) 5W50 oil or Mobile One (5 QT) 15W50. Mobile One is the lower cost one.
 
What climate will this machine be used the most? Is it for regular mowing, snow plowing duty or both?

Find the label on your transmission to determine what series/model number you have. Go to the Tuff Torq website for their recommendation. Most are recommended to use Tuff Tech 5W-50 transmission oil from Tuff Torq.

Half the transmission tag is missing due an encounter with a trail hitch. I will see what info I can get from what's left.
