I am trying to fix two issues with my older Cub ztr (bought in 2006/7). It is a 50 inch cut zero turn with a 22 hp B&S with about 200 hours on it. any advice on the following two issues appreciated.
1) Mower creeps forward when break is on. Assume there is an adjustment to make, but not sure where to make it.
2) Blades just quit engaging. At first it only happened when I went into reverse after running enough to get heat up. When safety switch stopped blades, they would not re-engage when going forward again. Would have to let it cool off, them it was good as long as I was going forward. Then, the last time, they just quit in mid mow. I have pulled the trim and traced the wiring to look for any exposed wires (shorts), etc. All seems good. I assume its the clutch or PTO switch. What can be done to find out which it is? Voltage shows 12.6.
I have since bought a new mower and was hopping to sell this one, but who wants to buy a mower they does;t mow? Hoped to get it into good working order at lower cost. But a clutch is a big cost to put into an old mower you plan to sell.
