cub cadet 1450 fuel problem??

I have a CUB CADET 1450 and last summer I had it worked on and when I got it home and turned on the gas now the gas just runs out of the carburetor!

(I know it's not the float sticking in the carburetor.)

I went back and asked what he did he told me he had to remove something from the fuel tank.

Will someone please tell me what part I need to buy to fix this problem?

Could be the float, as that is what cuts off the fuel to the carb, or it could be some crap under the fuel inlet needle, but either
way you are going to have to dis-assemble the carb and fix the problem...

If you are looking for a part to buy I would say a carburetor kit.

Ditto on the float or needle valve. Regardless of what is upstream, if the fuel is flowing, the float and needle valve, if clean and adjusted properly will stop the flow of fuel. The only component in my tank is the cut off valve. And that is actually downstream of the outlet nipple.

Remove the carb bowl. Let the fuel flow, lift the float to level and see if the fuel flow stops. If yes, check the float adjustment. If no, remove the float and needle valve. Carefully check the tip of the valve. If clean and no nicks, you may need to remove the seat from the carb (not a big deal) or carefully squirt carb cleaner into it. And to be honest, the needle valve and seat is inexpensive enough to replace since you have it apart already

CAUTION: Ensure you turn off the fuel flow before removing the float. If no cut off valve installed, use a hose clamp to collapse the feed hose.
