starts fine, but will not move forward or reverse. Is there a adjustment out of the linkage to engage movement?

With the mower off and the brake off can you push the mower? There is a lever or rod in the back that you pull out to make it free wheel so you can push it make sure it is pushed in.

If that is not it then look under the engine there should be two belts on it the top belt goes to the drive look at it and see if it is tight or broke
