Does anyone know how to adjust the cruise control on a Husqvarna 48" Riding Lawnmower.

Adjust ?
The cruise control is nothing more than a a ratchet plate & a spring loaded pawl
The spring is prone to breaking or falling out and the pawl gets clogged up with dust .
