How many of you guys take credit cards with the swipe thing on your smart phones and which company do you use?


Right now I have the Paypal system.

I can swipe a card anywhere or I can e-mail an invoice and there is a link on the invoice that the customer can click on to pay me from.

I have only used it a few times but it has worked great for me.

I tried that I have a square I have used twice. People generally just give me a check. I don't like that they charge a small % and I don't like adding another fee to my customer so I don't advertise having it

I use that credit card swiper from Paypal. Only used it once. Right now I only take cash and credit cards. NO CHECKS. I had run around with guy when he wrote me a bad check and didnt wanna pay my return check fee. So that was last time for me taking checks. Not worth the hassel and time if it ends up in court on criminal charges due to non payment on bad check.

I don't do credit cards, like Exotion said I'm not paying a 2 % a transaction fee for each transaction. I just send out a monthly bill but most pay online through their bank with bill pay. Doesn't cost them anything and it don't cost me anything.

I do cash and checks only.

I don't like dealing with other people's credit cards.

They will any cash a check if you bank with them.

So after talking to a few customers I am going to let people know I can accept credit cards as long as they pay the 2% fee so between the fee and sales tax I will need to add 10% to the total when I run the card

Only problem is they can dispute the charges on a credit card too which will tie your getting paid up for awhile. I tell them if they pay with a check I hold the equipment, etc until it clears the bank.
