craftsman yt 4000 rider

[MAINE REPAIR]

i got a craftsman riding mower to fix but i can't seem to find the problem. the belt for the deck all of a sudden looks like its way to big for mower. it was aliitle worn so i ordered a new one numbers match to a tee. after putting on new belt its still way loose blades stop even in the shortest grass. does anyone know if something moves on these tractors ? or have any ideas on what im over looking? ty for any help you can give me .

Is there a pic on the deck showing how the belt goes on?
Is the belt on right? If yes then I am thinking a spring came off a idler pulley.

model number is 917288562) the belt is routed right . doubled check that. the only thing i see that looks alittle loose is the arm that goes from the frame to the front of mower deck. its one of them projects i know i,m simply over looking something. thanks for your help

Lets do this the easy way Go here and you should be able to see where everything is.
Look at the springs I think that's what your going to find wrong.
