I have around a 2006 craftsman lawn tractor with a 26hp Briggs twin . When it first starts the drivers side cylinder will fart and skip . I initially thought it had a intake leak because it will skip and puff smoke out of where the intake meets the head . I’ve tried spraying with carb cleaner and it does not die down or pick up . Only does it when it’s cold . Seems to come out of it after a few minutes of running . Also what is the expected compression numbers for these motors

does the engine roar a bit when you engage the blades or push a motion lever / pedal flat chat.
Does the dip stick blow smoke if you take it off just after the engine has stopped.
Yes to either of the above is a sign of a blown head gasket.
