Craftsman tractor not moving in gear

Hey everyone. You've all been a big help. Pulley and belt were there as you guys said. Belt seemed to have minimal wear so am going to reuse it, lube the tensioner pulley set up. Have to remove the deck for my fat a$$ to get under the machine and do all this. Will jack and block it up also.

It is not the size of your backside there is very little room for anybody other than kid to get under there. And I should say anything about size as I am 250 lbs myself.

One note here, it is did you have a rear tire off for a flat repair if so it might just be a missing axle key. It happens to all of us if we not careful.

Sorry but there is a drive belt unless it is completely missing. And the transaxle a geared version not hydrostatic provided you gave the right model number. Item 57 is the drive belt.

Wow, is this that engine that has the axial switch off of the centrifugal vane?
 
You might do a search on-line for a FREE pdf download owners manual for your machine.
The manual for those type rigs usually have several instructions for deck removal, install, drive belt install/removal and mechanical adjustments and IPL with part numbers
A belt routing decal diagram is sometimes on the underside of the left fender.
As stated it's usually just a waste of time to just put the drive belt back on because it WILL JUMP AGAIN and back to square one. (also look for dirt daubbers nest in the pulley groove or a small chunk missing from the underside of the OLD V on the belt)
The replacement belt must be the correct length for that model within 1/2 inch.
