ok update on the Craftsman tiller that wouldnt shift i took it apart friday night and split the case what i found was it was full of water and hardly any grease left in it how ever it did come apart with very little problems but the ball and spring that runs on the shaft that locks it into its gears was rusted and froze up so the ball wouldn't compress to allow the shift fork to switch the gears so i took it all apart and sanded it all clean again used PB Blaster on it got it all working again and cleaned out all the water and old grease put in new grease sealed it back up put it together and it works like a new one thanks for the help on what to look for
