Craftsman Tecumseh self propelled

Hoping to make this thing go. Seems to have no compression. Primer won’t pull gas into carb. Unsure on spark. Today we started carb work. Gross.

Gas looked like jelly all in the carb. Can this be made to run or is the carb likely trash?

Carb not worth fixing. New ones are less than $15. Just have to find the one like you have.

I changed the oil and sharpened the blade today. Cleaned up the plug. When I poured gas into the intake it fired up. Hoping a new carb can bring this old mower back to life.
